ProHoops Combine Tampa, FL -  April 6, 2019

Staff

Linda Hargrove and Jessie Kenlaw  have teamed up once again to bring the best Combine to the WNBA Coaches and General Managers, foreign coaches and agents.  Some of the top college seniors and other free agents will have the opportunity to showcase their talents before the draft.....

Linda Hargrove has over 36 years of experience coaching at the College, University, Olympic and Professional level.  She has spent 11 years as a Head Coach and/or General Manager and Consultant in the WNBA. She knows what Coaches and General Managers are looking for and intends to provide them that information during the ProHoops Combine.

Her Professional experiences include Head Coach/Director of Player Personnel for the Colorado Xplosion in the ABL, Head Coach/GM for the Portland Fire, General Manager for the Washington Mystics and Consultant for the Orlando Miracle and the Tulsa Shock.  She was also on the 1992 Olympic staff in Barcelona, Spain. This is the 10th year that she has hosted the ProHoops Combine, which is considered the best place for the decision makers in professional basketball to evaluate talent for the draft and for overseas opportunities.

Jessie Kenlaw, a former collegiate and professional athlete, brings over 20 years coaching experience at the college and professional level. She achieved the BCA National Coach of the Year honors as Head Coach at the University of Houston.  She spent 9 years as an assistant in the WNBA with the Portland Fire, Seattle Storm, Houston Comets and served as assistant and Interim Head Coach with the Washington Mystics.  She was an assistant with the Seattle Storm when they won the WNBA Championship in 2004.

Jessie has earned the respect of players on every level with her tell you "what you need to hear, and not what you want to hear" philosophy.  Players describe her as the ultimate professional, die hard competitor, and "The Queen of Motivation".  Her newly created "NAM CAMPS" are designed to empower youth.  She wants to make a positive difference by motivating and stimulating under-achieving young minds to challenge themselves, by going places they have never been, and doing things they have never done!

Friday night will also feature an event at the host hotel, TBA, where players can be involved with a panel of former and current WNBA players.  Players can also pick up their jersey and finalize their registration to avoid the lines on Saturday morning. Prospective draftees will have a great opportunity to talk with people who have been in the league and know what it takes to help you get there.
